This is a great study tool, although this is not our final exam, it has material from our class and this website will allow you to make additional quizzes for tests and quizzes we have in class.

"Freedom Is Not Free"

I was able to visit Washington DC during the Fourth of July week. It was a great reminder of all of the comforts that I have only because of the sacrifice of others. A wall at the Koreon War Memorial read "Freedom Is Not Free." With a lot of controversy and differing opinions (especially recently) in our country, I am thrilled to live in a place where people can fight for freedoms that they believe in.

Here is picture from the 4th of July of festivities.

4th of July

This is a tribute post for July 4th this past weekend. I am grateful for the country we live in, the freedom we enjoy and the opportunities it provides for all of us. I hope that we use those opportunities to become our best selves, to be informed and involved about the events of our nation and that we work to help those around us reach their full potential.

In addition I would love to share about the fun things I participated in during this holiday.

Vacation Plans

For my vacation I was able to spend time with my family and other relatives over the weekend. We spent time together at home and some of us traveled up a canyon later in the weekend. We had had breakfast and attended a parade.

Lake Mary

We took a hike after the parade and went to Lake Mary. It was a beautiful hike and the lake was wonderful. The lake was oriented in a way so it could not be seen from the trailhead beforehand. Since the lake was up higher, it provided an extensive and wonderful view of the area. It was a great experience.
There is a great website with a collection of different history websites, you can access it by clicking here

These websites will allow you to explore various historical resources. For students it will be helpful for school projects and assignments as well as additional learning. For other people who visit the blog it will provide several resources if you are a student, parent of a student, or simply interested in learning more about history. Please feel free to comment about the websites you enjoyed and why they were enjoyable and helpful for you.
Hello everyone,

This blog is to help students find information for class in a convenient location, such as rubrics for assignments, papers, and projects, examples of work that received As, and the class schedule so you can stay caught up on everything. It is also a place where I will post links to articles, videos and websites about what we have covered in class if you are interested in learning more about those subjects. These links also will provide resources for school assignments and projects.

Here is a video of Associate Professor Russell Mcgregor talking about why studying history is important. I hope you enjoy it.
